The NHIP Strategy Board, chaired by AHSC Director Professor David Burn, will set direction, prioritise objectives and ensure delivery of AHSC outputs.

The NHIP Strategy Board will establish an International Advisory Group acting in the capacity as a critical friend for the Board
Underpinning the NHIP Strategy Board are three Committees:
- Research, Innovation and Enterprise Group
- Education & Training Group
- People & Planning Group
The Research, Innovation and Enterprise Group will also be informed by an external Industry Advisory Panel. Partnership Education and People and Culture Groups will oversee the strategic coordination and development of education and workforce planning, respectively.
Strong patient, public and carer involvement is coordinated through VOICE (Valuing Our Intellectual Capital and Experience), a leading citizen network which brings together the research, health and social care partners with community and patient organisations to facilitate and drive patients, carers and public engagement.
