Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) Academy is pleased to welcome Duncan Yellowlees to host the first Fellows Forum workshop.
The Fellows Forum is a new peer-to-peer support network for researchers working with NHIP Academy and will offer a programme of events to share best practice and network.
Duncan Yellowlees is an expert in academic presentation and science communication with over a decade of experience working with thousands of researchers to increase their skills and confidence when it comes to presentations and research communication.
Duncan’s bespoke workshop will support in gaining proficiency in distilling complex research into compelling narratives for various scenarios like funding proposals, academic conferences, public, patient and stakeholder interactions, and industry collaborations.
He will demonstrate how to highlight the most valuable 10% of projects, how to make audiences care, and how to structure a pitch for maximum impact.
The event will take place on Thursday 19th October 2023 with lunch from 12:00pm and the workshop from 12:30-14:30pm.
Sign up here and join us in transforming dry medical research pitches into engaging, concise, and audience-friendly presentations.
There will be limited availability for this first workshop, so it is best to express interest early. If this in-person workshop is over-subscribed, NHIP Academy will contact you to discuss future events.
If you would like more information on Duncan Yellowlees’ work, please take a look at his website and LinkedIn.
If you have any questions or suggestions of future events and activities, please contact nhip.academy@ncl.ac.uk with ‘Fellows Forum’ as the email subject.
