About the PCAF Community

PCAF is the NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical and Practitioner Academic Fellowship, a national scheme which equips early career researchers with the skills and experience to access doctoral level funding.

There are a growing number of colleagues across the region who are either working towards a PCAF application, are doing a PCAF currently, or are previous PCAF-awardees.  The Regional PCAF Community is for colleagues at any point on that pathway. We bring people together to support and encourage each other on their journey and we organise events which signpost and equip colleagues to take their next steps in research.

To find out more, please watch the Launch of the PCAF Community or you can take a look at this recording of Dr James Faraday, Phillip Hodgson and Laura Stavert discussing their experience of a PCAF and their advice for anyone considering this fellowship.

You can also read more about Phillip Hodgson’s experience throughout his PCAF journey here.
